Having completed a module at University in Regulatory Affairs, this instilled an interest in Amy prompting her to gain more knowledge in the field, particularly, in the area of Quality Assurance (QA)
Having seen an advert for a QA position at Hart Biologicals, this was the perfect opportunity to do just that and so she E-mailed her CV to the MD, Alby Pattison, who forwarded it on to QA. Amy was delighted to find out she had been accepted for work experience at the company over the Summer period.
As a part of her degree, Amy has to carry out a year in industry, which means that she has to do a year’s placement, most likely, in her third year. She is hoping that this work experience at Hart Biologicals will stand her in good stead for that year in industry, meaning the experience is both beneficial for her and the Company.
Gaining work experience was something that Amy didn’t have to do through university; it was her own choice to apply. This shows her willingness & keen-to-learn attitude.
Amy currently resides in Owton Manor in Hartlepool, having gone to school at English Martyrs. Amy then carried on her education at Brinkburn Sixth Form College where she studied sciences to pave the way for her university degree.
Amy’s Dad takes medicine for a heart condition, and this is where Amy received her inspiration for getting involved in the science industry. Everyone hopes that the experience at Hart Biologicals is just the first step on the ladder for Amy who eventually hopes to work in the Pharmaceutical/ Medical Industry, whether that be in the UK or abroad!
