ULTRASENSE PT is a liquid stable Recombinant Thromboplastin supplied ready to use with an ISI value of approximately 1.0. The ISI value is used to calculate an International Normalised Ratio (INR) in conjuction with Mean Prothrombin Time (MNPT).
The reagent is particularly appropriate for extrinsic factor assays as RTF does not contain any contaminating coagulation factors. ULTRASENSE PT is formulated to be insensitive to therapeutic levels of heparin and is therefore especially suitable for monitoring oral anticoagulant therapy (OAT).
